Fandi Ahmad

Fandi Ahmad is synonymous with Singapore football; he has delighted audiences with his football skills for over four decades. Fandi, fondly addressed as a national legend, was the Captain of Singapore’s national football team from 1993-1997 and has won three Southeast Asian Games silver medals amongst other accolades. As a masterful striker and a midfielder, he continues his passion as a coach.

For his contributions to local football Fandi was awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat in 1994. He has won 101 caps, bagged 55 goals, won the Golden Boot, and has put Singapore on the international soccer map by playing for FC Groningen (Netherlands) and Niac Mitra (Indonesia).

Fandi firmly believes in the 3Ds – Discipline, Determination and Dedication. These values have remained steadfastly the cornerstone of his career. A firm advocate of keeping mentally and physically healthy, Fandi also believes in supporting the community and giving back to society. Together with his family, Fandi gave his support to the BlueStar Charity Walk & Cycle.
